My name is Annie and I’ve spent the last four years in New York studying political science. Before that, I lived in Houston with my parents who love to cook. They are not professionals by any means but growing up, I always thought they were. I didn’t really have the cooking bug like they did. I loved eating their food and watching the Food Network, but I didn’t have a strong desire to cook with them. What kind of kid wants to do what their parents want to do? Well, I’m pleased to say that I am now making up for lost time. I’ve graduated from college, moved back to Houston, and my education in political science is over. Food is what’s next for me.

I am making this blog to share my love of food with the world. I have a unique approach in this blog in that I am just starting my food journey. Though I have appreciated the artistic notion of food for a long time, I am just learning how to cook. With this blog, I will document my cooking journey and showcase restaurants I love.
